(More customer reviews)My daughter received this for Christmas when she was six.She had never been on one before, so it took her a while to work on her balance and stay up on it.One jump became three, three jumps became ten, ten jumps became twenty five, and so on.With continued practice, her current record is over six hundred jumps without stopping.(Yes ---- she was exhausted afterward, but oh so proud of herself!!) This has been a wonderful toy, and well worth the $20 spent.Her balance has been incredible, and it's really quite a workout.She has had such fun competing against her old record jumps.
It is well-constructed over-all, but be sure to watch the rubber tip on the bottom if your child is a jumper like mine.She literally wore through the rubber tip without my realizing it, and the metal end of the stick had nothing to grip, once sending her flying onto the garage floor and hitting her head.Besides a goose egg she was OK, but she now wears her bike helmet to jump.(When I called the company they promptly sent me replacement tips at no charge.)
We have been very happy with this toy and are now purchasing the heavier Master Pogo since she's at the top of the weight range for this one.

LEGO Brick Box Review

(More customer reviews)Not sure what more I can say about Legos. They've been around forever, are durable, colorful, and spark hours of creative, imaginative play. With my son, we started him on Primos I think they're called (the largest size legos), then moved to Duplos, now this is his first set of regular sized legos.

What I like best about this particular set is the bucket they come in. It's like a big tupperware with a snap on lid. The lid is a little too difficult for my 3 year old to take off by himself (which I actually like, because it means I can control not having the entire bucked dumped out all over the floor).The bucket is much bigger than required to hold the contents that come with this package. This is great because we have "extra" legos that we are able to store all together.We still have legos that my husband played with as a child. We took them out and dumped them all together in this bucket and all is good!

This set comes with the regular square and rectangular sized leggos, plus a window, a door, some snap together flowers and a snap together person.It comes with a little booklet of ideas on building houses, flower gardens, a snail, etc. It does have some of the smallest size lego pieces... so watch out around really young children.

Teddy Hammock Toy Storage Net - White Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this item with the intentions of putting all of my daughters stuffed animals inside the hammock.When i purchased the item it stated on the box that it is a 7 foot long jumbo toy hammock.When i opened this item i discovered that it is only about 5 feet long.That is a two foot difference!Now all of her stuffed animals won't fit inside.And for 9.99 what a rip off!It should be more like 5.99.What a joke!I am going to complain to toys-r-us asap.

Guidecraft Jr. Roll-Top Desk Review

I researched for about 3 months...wanted something that would last for years and look tasteful with the rest of the stuff in their playroom. It fits the bill! High quality (matches right up with the Pottery Barn Kids stuff), and it's EXACTLY what I wanted and hoped it would be. No regrets. It's nice to know that some companies (Lipper, Inc) still make things to exacting standards....

Plus, the Amazon service is second to none. The first box had a broken chair leg. They send me another box by overnight mail as soon as I went online and had me print a return tag from the internet-- the new package and return for the damaged one cost me nothing. I LOOOVE LIPPER and AMAZON!!!

She loves them both! She carries them around and places them in her little princess chair plays with the brushes and she is working on putting their clothes on but hasn't quite gotten the hang of it yet. But she loves them and the little tiara and headband double as a bracelet for her. lol Great little toy for toddlers! the dolls are adorable too and they don't seem to have pieces that are too small for little ones but of course just watch your kids around them like you would any toy. (More customer reviews)We bought this desk for my 5 year old to use for coloring and his Vsmile keyboard. It is very cute and seems solid, however it is quite small. His keyboard and mouse takes up pretty much all of the surface space and the storage bins are barely big enough to hold a coloring book(they can't lay flat in the bin). If you are wanting a desk your child will be able to use for awhile skip this one if you just want something short term, have limited space, and a smaller child to pass it on too then this desk would work for you.

(More customer reviews)I think this product is very imaginative and durable.The only reason I gave durability four stars instead of five is because there are some small parts that come off (they are meant to), sometimes my daughter needs help putting them back on, but as far as the toy is made, it's made very durably.I'm sure this toy is intended for children older than two, but we gave this toy to my daughter when she turned two because she had played with it at a toy store, and she LOVES this toy.She's now had it for six months and she still plays with it all the time.The rabbit family and baby rabbit twins accompanied the house when we gave it to her (purchased separately).It is expensive, but my daughter has definitely gotten our money's worth out of it.There are some smaller pieces that you'll want to remove if your child gets easily frusterated or is still younger than three or maybe even four (such as the very charming little baby mobile on the 2nd floor, which is in four parts).We also bought her the playground set, but at age two she couldn't yet get the rabbits to stay on the equipment, so we've set that aside until she's a little older.

Mousetrap Review

(More customer reviews)I usually groan when my first grader pulls out this game, because I know pandemonium will follow -- but it's always a lot of fun!!!!
This game needs to be heavily supervised. Even if you child can read (and kids on the younder end of the spectrum won't be able to), assembling the mousetrap requires a certain amount of fine motor skills and an understanding of how things fit together. My son has yet to play it with a friend without serious assistance! Even when I play if with him, it is a crisis if my younger child is around. He is too young to play the game, but he loves to play with it and work the trap -- usually right in the middle of the game!
Notwithstanding all of this, the game is a blast. It's a good introduction to engineering concepts. Most board games are pretty similar -- you go around the board and whoever gets to the end first wins. This isn't that simple - you don't know who is going to win until the end. Furthermore, the best fun of the game is the process of reaching the end, since most turns involve a child adding another piece onto the trap.
My only real complaint about the game is that it needs to be sturdier. My board is taped together, and I am about to order a replacement thing-a-majig (that's really the name of the piece) from Hasbro.
If you don't mind supervising the game, it's a great game.

distance grandparents. During our last visit I saw a need for more storage of
all the toys she was accumulating. I sent pictures of toy chests from different
web sites to let the parents choose the one they liked.My daughter-in-law has
purchased many things through Amazon, and sent back the picture of this toy chest.
I ordered it and had it shipped to their home. It arrived sooner than expected.
The next week, we arrived and watched as it was assembled. It was terrific! It
was easy to put together; had all the right parts; nothing missing and nothing
left over :) The top has a wonderful safety feature that keeps it from dropping
on the child's head as she reaches in for toys, and the front of the toy box
is designed so the child can grip it and when the top closes, it does not pinch
their fingers.OK..this is long..let me say that the whole experience was won-
derful. I will order through Amazon again, and it was a pleasure to have everything
go right.

She hasn't quite figured out to put the cars at the top of the ramp to let them fall down but she loves the spinner that makes noises. She also thinks that it is very funny when the cars come out of the ramp. She's learning to open and close the gate, and the cars themselves seem to entertain her. They roll on the ball in the center, instead of four wheels, so no little parts to worry about. She likes to shake the cars, which rattle, and spin the balls in them. She doesn't seem to get tired of this toy and the spinner has an on/off switch that is handy. The noises aren't annoying because they aren't terribly loud and there are a variety of them to so it keeps it interesting. I think she will play with this toy for a long time.

(More customer reviews)The Deluxe Brick Box (5507) is LEGO's latest and largest DUPLO bucket, superseding LEGO Duplo Large Brick Box (5506). At 102 pieces, it has 31 more pieces than 5506, ranking in at second place in the current DUPLO lineup (set with the most number of pieces is LEGO Duplo Legoville Deluxe Train Set (5609)). It comes in a very large and sturdy bucket (14 by 10 by 8 inches), with enough room for a couple of additional medium sized DUPLO sets.

This set is geared toward building a house, with 4 flower pieces (may be a choke hazard to younger toddlers), 1 wagon base, 2 minifigures, 2 doors, 2 picket fences, medium sized base plate, 1 eyeball brick, and an assortment of several dozen brick pieces. Also included is an idea booklet.

Although LEGO recommends age between 1.5 to 5 as the target, it is both safe (aside from flower pieces mentioned earlier) and appropriate for those as early as 1 year old. Typical of LEGO, all the pieces are very durable and BPA free (ABS plastic). My only criticism is the inclusion of only one wagon base and eyeball brick.

Litte Tikes Disney Princess Toddler Bed Review

(More customer reviews)We have this bed and my older daughter loved it. It was great and sturdy. So why the poor review? Somewhere between my older daughter growing out of this bed and my younger daughter growing into it, we lost the specialized bolts needed to hold it all together. Totally our fault. However, when I called Little Tikes to purchase replacement bolts, they told me that replacement parts are not available. I find it wrong that replacement parts are not available for a $300+ toddler bed that they still produce. Obviously they are still producing the bolts needed, but are unwilling to package them to sell as replacement parts. Now we have $300 worth of useless plastic pieces in our house and one very disappointed little girl. We have many Little Tikes products and I have generally been happy with them, but I would not be willing to buy another large-ticket item from Little Tikes due to this experience.
